The Hunger of the Forgotten People
On 16th January, 2014, LPP joined the German section of Veterinarians without borders and the Seminar for Rural Development of Berlin’s Humboldt University in hosting a panel discussion during the Global Forum on Food and Agriculture held during the annual Green Week. The topic of “Hunger of the Forgotten” was discussed by panelists Thomas Sommerhalter of Concern International, Prof. Hans-Jürgen Schwartz and Neil Fraser representing the Global Agenda of Action on Sustainable Livestock Development as well as myself.
Workshop on Biocultural Community Protocols
This workshop that is organised by LIFE-Africa and League for Pastoral Peoples and Endogenous Livestock Development, in collaboration with Natural Justice and World Initiative on Sustainable Patoralism (WISP) was held on 29th November from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Kenya School of Law. With Camel Charisma at Nature Bazaar
I will be at the Nature Bazaar held at the Crafts Museum in New-Delhi on behalf of Camel Charisma, a social enterprise to develop and market new products from Rajasthan’s camels… There’ll be exciting and unusual camel goodies available – from “Cashmina” shawls to folk art on camel dung poo paper and a range of delectable soaps from camel milk.
